About
The mission statement of Coalinga Enterprise Community is to empower the residents of the area to create a better future for themselves and their children.
The Coalinga Enterprise Community (CEC) was created in 2000 as a community-based organization in order to address the following issues:
- Collaboration between the city personnel, community members, and local resource partners to develop a strategic plan for community development in Coalinga;
- Community leadership capacity to organize, plan, and implement community improvement projects; and
- Distribution of information that will benefit and empower Coalinga residents to take part in solving challenges through partnerships.
In November 2006, the Coalinga Enterprise Community received it’s 501(c)3 non-profit organization status serving the city of Coalinga.
